It's time once again for the Bluegrass + Beyond jam, this Monday, Nov. 3rd, 7:30 at Paddy Reilly's (SW corner of 29th and 2nd).
That's right - Bluegrass + Beyond - the shortest continuously running acoustic music jam in NYC (and proud of it).
First off, I want to say: "Disco? What was that about?"
Secondly, I want to thank you all for putting up with Scottie - our charity guitar case. Folks, he's really trying hard, and someday...
Thirdly, regarding Scottie (seriously, for a change): Why do all his chord progressions sound like mathematical equations? E (aug. min. 6) = M (dim. 13 + 9) C (7 b5 sus 4) (squared) = " I need a beer, maybe two..."
Fourthly, thanks to all you traditional folks who (occasionally) bring us back in line. For those of you who don't know who you are - Animals, Beatles and Stones are not things found in Central Park.
Finally, although I don't give a hoot, my co-host Bill feels that we should find out if people are enjoying the jam, and if not, why not? Drop me a line at 1-800-EAT-(oops, my sensitive side slipped out again). Kidding, of course (oh no, my sarcastic side).
Sunday, 3 o'clock at Paddy's Jen Larsen (of Prairie Home fame) and friends will perform, followed by Tony's (Advanced) Bluegrass Jam. Bring a sleeping bag, it's only 24 more hours until (see above)...
